Job DescriptionThe teacher is the district's primary agent for instruction with responsibility for presenting the prescribed curriculum effectively and employing a diagnostic/prescriptive approach to identification and subsequent adaptation to the needs and interests of the students.
The duties commonly associated with the position include but are not limited to:
- maintaining up-to-date knowledge of curriculum content
- planning and assessment of instruction and curriculum
- maintaining classroom management
- planning and delivering effective instruction
- promoting high standards and expectations for student achievement
- communicating with students, parents, and other district employees to work on behalf of students
- promoting equity and appreciation of diversity

- Bachelor's Degree required;
Master's Degree preferred. MA DESE Certification Severe Disabilities All Levels. Experience teaching high school science and math, working with students with mental health diagnosis . Strong lesson planning skills with a focus on student centered instruction; ability to co‑teach; ability to use data to plan for, assess and modify instruction. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Desire to work with students and families.
Ability to use Google Docs, Excel and Word. Ability to learn new software systems. - Citizenship, residency or work visa required
