The teacher is the district's primary agent for instruction with responsibility for presenting the prescribed curriculum effectively and employing a diagnostic/prescriptive approach to identification and subsequent adaptation to the needs and interests of the students.

The duties commonly associated with the position include but are not limited to:

• maintaining up-to-date knowledge of curriculum content
• planning and assessment of instruction and curriculum
• maintaining classroom management
• planning and delivering effective instruction
• promoting high standards and expectations for student achievement
• communicating with students, parents, and other district employees to work on behalf of students
• promoting equity and appreciation of diversity

• Bachelor's Degree required;
  Master's Degree preferred. MA DESE Certification in Elementary Education 1-6. Experience with early literacy, co-teaching experience preferred but not required, ability to work on a team. CPI training preferred, science of reading background, patience, flexibility Patience and flexibility required as well as the ability to collaborate
