Overview

The Technical Sales Engineer serves as the primary expert and project lead for the innovative Drive Deck program. This role bridges the gap between our expansive nationwide sales network and specialized parking garage restoration projects. Managing a protected geographical territory, this position will transform qualified leads into successfully executed projects, acting as the technical authority and "boots on the ground" lead.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond promptly to Drive Deck lead submissions from sales reps, scheduling and conducting on-site job walks to assess parking garage conditions.
  • Manage full project lifecycle from lead handover to completion: oversee scheduling, monitor application milestones, conduct inspections (including digital photo reports via custom software), troubleshoot issues, and ensure quality and compliance.
  • Provide consultative expertise to recommend optimal product applications (waterproofing, urethanes, mortars) based on specific site variables.
  • Perform post-project follow-ups and periodic account management visits to existing customers to maintain relationships, gather feedback, and ensure ongoing satisfaction (non-sales focused).
  • Conduct detailed on-site "job walks" to evaluate structural conditions and define project requirements.
  • Prepare clear, professional proposals, quotations, and documentation; secure approvals and process orders.
  • Maintain accurate records of projects, customer interactions, and territories using automated systems.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., for product support, logistics) and represent the company professionally at job sites, with contractors, and in communications.
  • Engineer comprehensive scopes of work, including accurate Bills of Materials (BOM), freight logistics, and cost estimations tailored to parking garage restoration needs (including urethanes, waterproofing systems, repair mortars, and related products).
  • Take full ownership of projects from handover to final sign-off, ensuring milestones are met within defined timelines.
  • Identify, vet, and coordinate qualified contractors to ensure alignment with project standards and specifications.
  • Manage extensive travel requirements and maintain readiness (passport, etc.) for domestic and potential international site visits, project oversight and customer meetings.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum five (5) years of related experience managing construction / restoration projects is required with strong preference for parking garage restoration or similar concrete / structural waterproofing work a plus. Possession of at least a high school diploma is required and a post-secondary degree is preferred. In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.

Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach). Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software. Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. use of protective gear). Driving is a requirement for this position.

Therefore, must have the ability to travel domestically via operating a motor vehicle and maintain a valid driver license and driving record which is acceptable to our insurance provider. Must have a vehicle in good working condition and ensure it meets all safety, insurance, and legal requirements. The ability to travel by plane and/or overnight travel may also be required.
