The Civil Engineer will be responsible for the hands‑on management and execution of the full lifecycle of designated projects. The successful candidate will demonstrate technical expertise, leadership, client management, and a strong ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams. The position also includes opportunities to support business growth through client relationship management and business development, with a clear path toward a future staff‑management role as desired (e.g. Senior Project Engineer to Project Director to Regional Lead).
Key Responsibilities- Managing civil engineering projects from concept to completion, leveraging modern workflows and technology
- Leading civil engineering and environmental projects from concept to completion
- Conducting and supervising site investigations, resource evaluations, surveys, and feasibility studies
- Site planning and grading
- Stormwater and wastewater design
- Hydrological and drainage modeling
- Utility design and permitting
- Field observation and construction administration
- Overseeing client project activities and ensuring adherence to project specifications
- Collaborating with our internal as well as external teams of engineers, surveyors, architects, and other contractors to deliver high‑quality outcomes and deliverables
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and safety standards
- Bolstering the growth of clients as a business by supporting client success, bringing in new clients, and contributing to business development and marketing activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (P.E.) is a plus
- Certification as an Engineer in Training (E.I.T) or comparable with extensive experience will be considered
- 7‑10 years minimum experience with civil engineering projects required, with exposure to land survey, environmental and permitting projects
- Proven experience in full lifecycle project management from concept to completion
- Strong knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations, including safety standards and
- environmental codes is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD/ Civil3D, Hydro Cad or comparable
