You will be responsible for a range of SPS cognizance equipment related to the Sea-Launched Cruise Missile, Nuclear-Armed (SLCM-N) such as the Fire Control System (FCS), Training systems, Auxiliary Support equipment, and Technical Documentation.

You will coordinate with the SSP Technical Branch project leads and SPS engineers/logisticians/fleet documentation leads to ensure program milestones and Portfolio Acquisition Executive Strategic Systems Programs (PAESSP) requirements are achieved.

You will perform development, production and service life support across multi-disciplinary engineering for the advanced and deployed system hardware, software, and documentation under the cognizance of the Shipboard Systems (SPS).

You will lead and review the system engineering efforts of the contractor in the development of hardware, software, firmware, non-developmental items/commercial-off-the shelf (COTS) software/firmware product designs.

You will ensure that the cause and effect of all system failures are identified, adequately reviewed, analyzed, and investigated utilizing the Root Cause Analysis/Corrective Action process.

You will be responsible to coordinate with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) to ensure contractor performance meets the overall policies and objectives of PAESSP and the Navy.

You will support DCMA reviews of proposed contracts for technical adequacy/appropriateness of estimated cost including evaluation of types/levels of technical skills, labor hours required, and the engineering/development methods/processes proposed.

You will serve as a systems engineering technical expert for SCLM-N FCS designs and engineering support throughout SPS, to PAESSP, to contractor organizations, and to other government activities including user and shore maintenance organizations.
