Compensation: $15.50 - $16.50 per hour, commensurate with experience

Job Overview

The Wardrobe Technician supports the Wardrobe Supervisor in the daily care and maintenance of costumes. This role is primarily focused on the physical execution of show tracks, including assisting actors with changes and performing laundry duties.

Requirements
  • Facilitate quick changes and assist actors in getting into costumes during rehearsals and shows.
  • Execute daily maintenance tasks, including laundry, ironing, steaming, and shoe polishing.
  • Preset costumes onstage and backstage and return them to dressing rooms post-show.
  • Perform basic sewing repairs and maintenance on show-rigged garments.
  • Assist in the load-in and strike of costumes for each production.
  • Other duties as assigned by Production Management.
Qualifications
  • Prior backstage wardrobe experience in a professional theater environment.
  • Basic sewing skills for repairs and quick-change rigging.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and remain calm in high-stress situations.
  • Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
