Title: Documentation and Loan Specialist (DLS) II

Location: Springfield, MA or Hartford, CT

Salary Range: $21.55 - $36.63 per hour

The DLS II is responsible for reviewing commercial loans to ensure that all document and perfection requirements have been met, and that the bank’s position and security interest have been satisfied. The role meets completeness, turnaround time, and accuracy requirements per established operating procedures.

• Review loan approvals for compliance with bank policy and risk mitigation; perform searches and meet pre‑closing requirements (35%).
• Review attorney‑prepared loan documents to ensure conformity with approvals, coordinate changes, and liaise with bank counsel and the Commercial Relationship Manager (35%).
• Assist in loan closings, support funding, manage fees, finalize documents, book loans in FIS, image documents for safekeeping, and track exceptions and covenants (20%).
• Provide follow‑up reporting of loan exceptions, reconcile accounts receivable for pre‑closing expenses, and complete compliance tests in Archer (10%).
• Ensure compliance with all banking laws, rules, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience required.
• 2+ years’ commercial loan documentation experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and the Internet.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multitask, strong organizational skills, and attention to detail.
