Salary Range: $22.46 To $29.19 Hourly

Department: Retail Services/Administration

Work Arrangement: In-Office, Full-Time (Monday-Friday 8a/9a-4:30p-5:30p, Rotating Saturdays 8a-1p)

Bilingual Preferred but not required.

Sign on bonus
: $1,500.00 sign on bonus available for full-time employment. Eligibility for the bonus is $500 after successful completion of onboarding/training to be paid with two months of service, and $1,000 after 6 months of continued full-time satisfactory service.

The Teller Specialist provides exceptional service to members through efficient and accurate transaction processing and product guidance, while supporting teller operations, compliance, and team development. This role ensures smooth daily operations, leads by example in sales and service delivery, and serves as a resource for teller staff and vault functions in accordance with Credit Union policies and regulatory guidelines.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

35%

Accurately processes a variety of member transactions including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and account inquiries; ensures proper documentation, and balances work and cash daily.

15%

Assists with training, mentoring, and providing guidance to Teller staff on procedures, service skills, and compliance; supports daily setup and assigns operational responsibilities under the direction of the Teller Manager.

Performs operational support tasks such as transaction overrides, vault management, ATM balancing, and balances Cash Recyclers; opens and closes the branch as needed.

10%

Manages branch currency orders and inventory; serves as Vault Teller on a rotating basis after certification.

Ensures adherence to branch security and compliance practices including workstation and member data security, cash handling policies, and regulatory guidelines.

Participates in sales and service campaigns; actively cross-sells products, uses in-branch coaching tools, and refers members to specialized services.

  • Transactions are processed with accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Tellers receive consistent support, training, and operational guidance.
  • Daily balancing and cash management procedures are followed with minimal errors.
  • Sales goals and referral targets are met or exceeded through active member engagement.
  • Compliance, security, and audit expectations are met with minimal findings.
  • Demonstrates commitment to Greylock’s culture by creating safe, respectful, and inclusive spaces, and actively engaging in coaching, mentoring, and peer support.
Knowledge and

Skills:

Experience:

Minimum one year of teller or cash-handling experience required; two or more years preferred. Previous experience mentoring or training team members is a plus.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Specialized training in branch operations or compliance preferred.

Interpersonal

Skills:

Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to lead by example, support team collaboration, and maintain professionalism in member interactions.

Technical/Other

Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and credit union software systems. Familiarity with cash recyclers, vault controls, and teller line operations. Detail-oriented and able to…
