Ultrasound Technologist – Berkshire Health Systems

We are looking for a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team. The position supports patient care through diagnostic imaging and may involve supervising and instructing department personnel.

• Perform a wide variety of technical procedures to ensure proper patient care in accordance with departmental and hospital policies and procedures.
• Assist in the supervision or instruction of department personnel as directed by the Operations Manager or Lead Technologist.

• Three years of experience as an Ultrasonographer (preferred).
• Must obtain registry from ARDMS or ARRT within two years of employment.
• Must have completed an approved Diagnostic Sonography Technology Program.
• Additional registration and state license as a diagnostic technologist preferred.
• ARRTS
  - Registered Sonographer through ARRT or ARDMS.
• CPR certification required.
• If currently employed and holding a Massachusetts Diagnostic Radiography License and Registration by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists, must maintain these credentials throughout employment.
• Proficiency in abdominal, pelvic, obstetrical, and DVT studies of arms and legs, and in obtaining images using portable equipment.
• Familiarity with sterile technique and setup of sterile trays.
• Ability to function independently and proficiently.
• Ability to move and lift patients, equipment, and supplies on a regular basis.
• Ability to function in a high‑stress, work‑intensive environment.
• Use of independent judgment and ingenuity.
• Initiative to apply skills to facilitate a diagnosis.
