Title: MRI Technician
Status: Full-Time - 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday with rotating weekends, holidays, and variable days
Location: Pittsfield, MA

Overview:
A well-regarded healthcare facility in Pittsfield, MA, is seeking a skilled MRI Technician to join its diagnostic imaging team. This full-time position plays a vital role in the delivery of quality imaging services and patient care. The role calls for a motivated professional capable of working independently while ensuring patient safety, maintaining imaging equipment, and upholding high technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a broad range of MRI procedures using independent judgment and technical skill
  • Ensure safe and compassionate patient care following departmental and hospital protocols
  • Operate and troubleshoot MRI equipment, including PACS, HIS, RIS, CR, and DR systems
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and hospital infection control practices
  • Participate in educational activities and complete required competency validations
  • May take on supervisory or mentoring responsibilities depending on departmental needs

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an AMA-approved program in MRI
  • CPR certification required
  • ARRT(MR) certification required within two years of hire
  • Massachusetts Radiography License preferred
  • ARRT(RTR) certification preferred
  • Student training in MRI or diagnostic radiology is accepted as minimum experience

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency with MRI equipment and related systems (PACS, HIS, RIS)
  • Ability to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-pressure clinical setting
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and confidentiality
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
