POSITION SUMMARY
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily business operations of a pharmacy, including dispensing prescription medication and advising patients. Other duties entail managing the pharmacy staff and the inventory, and ensuring the safe storage of prescription drugs and controlled substances. The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for ensuring an exceptional customer experience.

- Ability to operate within company policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule in accordance with the needs of the store.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Must be a licensed pharmacist in the state in which pharmacy is practiced.
- Must complete HIPAA training.
- Must be certified to administer vaccines in the state in which pharmacy is practiced.
- Must consent to and pass a drug screen and background investigation at time of hire or transfer to position.
- Recruit, interview and hire employees while mirroring the communities we serve.
- Supervise, direct the work of, set goals and delegate tasks of employees in the department using discretion and
- Create and alter weekly scheduled shifts for employees in the department while controlling payroll costs.
- Arrange for and conduct ongoing training, completion of checklists and communication with all employees working within your area.

- To make, mix and compound prescriptions.
- Fill and evaluate prescriptions for completeness, accuracy, legality and proper labeling.
- Provide over the counter recommendations to customers.
- Ensure inventory is properly maintained to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain adequate patient information to ensure the safety and appropriateness of all prescriptions.
- Administer vaccines in accordance with state regulations and Big Y policies.
