DEFINITION/PRIMARY FUNCTIONSTo assess nutritional status and deliver Nutrition Services to WIC applicants, including high-risk women, infants and children under the Supervision of the Senior Nutritionist. This includes providing counseling and referrals when needed.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS(Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
Experience:Proper training in counseling and assessing skills
Education and Training:- Bachelor's degree in Public Health Nutrition, Foods and Nutrition, or nutrition education.
- Masters in Public Health Nutrition, or Food and Nutrition or Registration with the American Dietetic Association, desired
Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist or Registered Dietitian preferred
Other Requirements:- One years experience in clinical or community nutrition.
- Good communication skills.
- Sensitive to the needs of the client population.
- Available to work at multiple sites and evenings as needed.
The minimum and maximum of the hourly pay range for this position is shown above. Actual rates of pay may vary based on a range of factors including but not limited to experience and qualifications.
