American Traveler is hiring a Days MRI Technologist with 2+ years of current MRI experience and ARRT (MR) certification for a 26-week assignment at a teaching hospital.
Requirements- Minimum 2 years of current MRI experience required
- ARRT (MR) certification required
- Current BLS certification (AHA) required
- GE equipment experience required
- Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Must be willing to work occasional evenings, weekends, and take call as needed
- Must have own vehicle
- License required if applicable
- Skills checklist for MRI (current within 1 year) required
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
- Radiology department in a 298-bed teaching hospital offering a full continuum of medical specialties
- Monday-Friday day shift, either 6:30 AM-3:00 PM or 7:00 AM-3:30 PM, 40 hours per week
- Approximately 9 patients per shift
- Works alongside another tech aide or MRI tech, never solo
- Overnight coverage after midnight handled by on‑call staff
- No regular weekend requirement, but holiday coverage and occasional weekend/evening work may be needed
- Possible on‑call requirement
- Uses GE HDXT 16.0 and 23.0 MRI equipment
- 8 hours of non‑billable orientation provided
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be considered
- Requested time off must be submitted at time of application and cannot exceed 5 days
- Scheduling requests must be finalized prior to submission, as changes after offer may result in a rescinded offer
