Tubing Park Attendant
This position runs from the beginning of December through the beginning of April.
Job Summary: The Tubing Park Attendant works directly for the Tubing Park Supervisor and assists them in overseeing the daily operations of the tubing area, ensuring a safe, efficient, and enjoyable experience for guests.
This role includes maintaining equipment and tubing lanes, and upholding resort safety and service standards.
Essential Functions:
- Assist with all daily operations of Tube Town
- Assist with all pre-operational setup of carpet and tubing surfaces, including snow removal, fence maintenance, setting up the tubing lanes
- Ensure that all morning pre-operational checks are completed properly
- Ensure all shut-down procedures are followed and that Tube Town is ready to be reset the following morning
- Identify problem areas (signs not visible, ropes not in place, potential hazards, etc.) and rectify them as soon as possible
- Assist in the maintenance of carpet load and unload ramps throughout the day
- Assist in base-area operations during a lift evac situation
- Print, file and ensure proper completion of daily operations logs
- Fill out incident reports and investigate any carpet-related incidents
- Assist Lift Maintenance staff to ensure reliable operation of lifts
- Inspect fire extinguishers monthly
- Ensure cleanliness of Tube Town buildings/cabanas/sheds and other work areas
- Perform all tasks of a Carpet Operator or Ticket Checker as needed
- Work in different departments resort wide as needed
NOTE: All Bousquet Mountain employees are required to perform alternate functions from time to time, both within and outside of their assigned department, particularly during peak periods such as holiday weekends.
Customer Service Expectations: The Tube Town Attendant has significant direct customer contact when working at Tube Town and is responsible for constant customer interaction. It is therefore of utmost importance that the Tube Town Attendant shall be courteous and professional in accordance with Bousquet's commitment to providing superior customer service.
Qualifications:
- Must be 17 years of age
- Valid driver's license preferred
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Good work ethic, dependability and excellent customer service & communication skills
- Familiarity with lift operations and the ski industry in general
Physical and Mental Demands: Involves lifting, up to 50 pounds, and stalling chairs up to 400 lbs traveling up to 450 feet per minute, shoveling large volumes of snow and/or ice, raking, and clearing snow/ice from carpet surface. Requires prolonged periods of standing and walking on slippery and/or uneven snow or icy surfaces, setting up deceleration matting and safety netting.
Work Environment: Position involves working outside in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, snow, wind, and rain, on varied snow surfaces, and requires being on your feet for the majority of the scheduled shift. Some time is spent inside, but inside time still requires alertness and attention to the lift and passengers.
