Job SummaryWe are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Mold Installation Technician to join our manufacturing team. The role involves precise installation, setup, and alignment of molds used in plastics injection‑molding, ensuring efficient and accurate production.
Responsibilities- Know, understand, and follow the written procedures that govern the injection‑molding process.
- Install, align, and secure molds into injection‑molding presses, blow‑molding machines, and extrusion equipment.
- Use hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments to verify mold dimensions and alignment.
- Conduct quality inspections on molds and finished products according to specifications and standards.
- Handle materials safely using forklifts and other material‑handling equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments on molds and related equipment to optimize performance.
- Follow lean‑manufacturing principles to streamline installation processes and reduce waste while maintaining safety standards.
- Maintain required records.
- Perform additional duties as needed.
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in plastics injection‑molding.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) used in manufacturing automation systems.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely; forklift certification preferred.
- Experience with machining tools such as press‑brake machines, CNC lathes, and other fabrication equipment.
- Strong understanding of quality inspection techniques using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to mold setup and adjustments.
- Prior experience in manufacturing or plastics processing environments is highly desirable.

- 5 years as a mold technician (Required).
