We’re seeking a compassionate and experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our team as a Lead Provider, responsible for providing exceptional care and making a real impact on the lives of our patients within our urgent care clinic. Lead Providers act as clinical leaders for all clinical staff, mentoring and supporting new-grad providers as well as allied healthcare professionals.
This role is ideal for an NP who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys mentorship, and is passionate about delivering high-quality care.
Your Impact- Provide Patient-Centered Care: Conduct health assessments, physical exams, and review medical histories to address short- and long-term patient needs while maintaining high-quality, efficient care.
- Assess patient health: Interview patients, perform physical examinations, obtain and update medical histories.
- Determine abnormal conditions: Administer or order diagnostic tests (e.g., x-rays, ECGs, lab studies) and interpret results.
- Perform therapeutic procedures: Administer injections and immunizations, suture, and manage wounds and infections.
- Educate and counsel: Educate patients about health, describe therapeutic regimens, discuss growth and development, family planning, and wellness through counseling and guidance.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare clear, complete medical records, type, edit, and electronically sign notes using EMR in accordance with policy. Maintain a safe, clean work environment and adhere to infection-control policies. Comply with legal and professional requirements and advise management as needed.
- Collaborate with a Team: Work with other providers to treat patients efficiently and plan coordinated dispositions, including transfers, in a timely manner.
- Clinic leadership & mentorship: Act as a clinic leader when the Practice Manager is not in clinic; mentor new-graduate providers and other staff.
- Professional development: Maintain knowledge through workshops, publications, networks, and professional societies; serve as a preceptor for new staff.
- Education, Licensure, &
Certifications:
Master’s degree and NP certification; DEA license with no restrictions;
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or ARC (we do not accept CPR, ACLS, or online-only). - Relevant experience: Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care is preferred.
- Leadership: Strong mentoring skills for providers and clinic staff.
- Team player: Enjoy collaborating within a strong team dynamic.
- Communication: Proactive and confident communicator (written and verbal).
- Compassion & patient focus: Demonstrates kindness and fosters a sense of belonging for patients.
- Technical skills: Proficient with Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
- Knowledge areas: Customer service principles, HIPAA/OSHA compliance, pharmacology basics, and current medical evaluation/treatment procedures.
Hourly pay range: $70 - $100 USD. Final compensation is determined after interviewing and in consideration of location, experience, and budget. This range reflects potential compensation for this region. If your compensation expectations fall within the range, apply to learn more.
