- The RN telephone triage nurse works to assess patient needs and answer questions over the telephone. Through telephone assessment, the Registered Nurse recommends the patient to the appropriate level of care: primary care physician, urgent care, emergency care.
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience:
- Three years experience in Emergency Nursing preferred.
- Three years Triage (phone or in person) RN experience required.
- Education and Training:
- BSN preferred.
- License, Certification & Registration:
- RN License - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts.
- CPR
- Other Requirements:
- Electronic medical records experience and strong comfort level using computers.
- Experience using multiple phone line system preferred.
