Active American Heart Association BLS or American Red Cross Certification required

Must-Have:
Must include a Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) issued by the state of Massachusetts. Ability to exercise independent judgment and demonstrate critical thinking skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Must have a current driver's license and insurance. Must have a vehicle for transportation.

Description:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides and documents nursing care for the sick and injured  LVN promotes, maintains, or restores health to prevent illness and effect rehabilitation. The LVN collaborates with other healthcare providers and community representatives to coordinate care  LVN evaluates individuals' and families' responses to interventions. This role requires the ability to function independently under general guidance and to follow specific guidelines and protocols.

Duties involve independent action and judgment. Must utilize time management, communication, planning, delegating, and problem-solving skills in providing care. Must possess and demonstrate emotional stability in emergency settings. Ability to be flexible regarding work hours is essential. Willingness to accept on-call responsibilities is required. The LVN must adhere to customer service and performance standards. The LVN must conform with patients' rights policy.

A history of dependability in meeting work schedule demands is necessary. All time-off requests must be noted prior to the submission. History of flexibility in assuming varied assignments is preferred. Experience with self-scheduling of caseload is a plus. In order to effectively provide home care, the LVN must have a working knowledge of home care reimbursement and regulatory guidelines. All scheduling requests must be made at the time of submission.
