Job Details
Position:
Independent Practice Nurse Practitioner (Family, Adult, or Emergency) in outpatient opioid treatment programs.
Organization:
Spectrum Health Systems.
Salary: $155,000 - $165,000 annually.
Shift: 1st Shift/Days;
Full Time.
Location:
Pittsfield, MA 01201; additional locations in Great Barrington, North Adams, and Pittsfield, MA – Outpatient Treatment Programs.
24‑40 hours per week, weekdays only, with a minimum of 3 days onsite. 2 additional days of telehealth/virtual care may be available for full‑time candidates.

- Experience treating opioid use disorders is preferred but not required; training and ongoing support will be provided.
- In charge of all medical aspects of patient care in the OTP, including admission assessment, medication initiation, dosing adjustments, medication side effects, and withdrawal management.
- Coordinate care with community providers for patients with medical conditions that impact treatment (e.g., pregnancy, hepatitis, cardiac and pulmonary disease, perioperative pain treatment, and others that arise during the course of treatment).
- Work independently with support from the Chief Medical Officer and other medical team members, serving as part of a multidisciplinary team caring for patients.
- Nurse Practitioner or higher level of education.
- Current CPR certificate or obtain certification within 90 days of hire.
- Experience in the substance abuse/mental health field or an acute care inpatient healthcare environment is preferred.
- Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred.
- Valid driver’s license.
