This RN Educator role supports a Family Birthplace unit with a primary focus on educating nursing staff on Operating Room circulation for Cesarean Sections. The educator provides clinical instruction, mentorship, and competency validation related to perinatal surgical workflows, emphasizing safe OR practices, sterile technique, and perioperative maternal care. The position requires strong expertise in Labor & Delivery surgical circulation rather than traditional bedside L&D nursing.
Responsibilities include staff education, onboarding support, clinical training reinforcement, and collaboration with leadership to maintain high standards of obstetric surgical care. Weekend and holiday rotation may apply, and schedule flexibility is required.
Candidates must have a BSN or higher degree and at least three years of current RN Educator experience within the perinatal specialty. Demonstrated expertise educating staff on C-Section OR circulation is mandatory; candidates with only standard L&D experience will not be considered. Active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications must be active and submitted with the profile. Prior experience with Meditech Expanse is strongly preferred.
