Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

The job is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, providing safe, patient-centered care to expectant mothers and newborns. The RN will manage labor support, monitor maternal and fetal status, and respond promptly to emergent needs using evidence-based protocols.

• Assess and monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
• Administer medications and interventions according to provider orders and established clinical protocols.
• Coordinate care with obstetrics, anesthesia, pediatrics, and other interdisciplinary team members.
• Prepare delivery rooms and ensure readiness of resuscitation equipment and supplies.
• Respond to obstetric and neonatal emergencies, including initiation of appropriate resuscitation measures.
• Document clinical findings, nursing interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely.

• Hold an active Massachusetts RN license.
• Maintain active BLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Maintain active ACLS certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• Maintain active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Bring at least 2 years of current Labor & Delivery experience.
• Demonstrate current, relevant work history with Labor & Delivery skills checklist; provide a supervisory signed reference within the past 2 years.

• Strengthen critical care competencies in high-acuity maternal and neonatal scenarios.
