Mother Baby / Postpartum Registered Nurse

The Mother Baby / Postpartum Registered Nurse provides specialized care to women during the postpartum period, supporting mother and infant health in both inpatient and outpatient settings. They deliver compassionate, patient-centered care, ensuring safety and education for new mothers and their families.

• Assess and monitor postpartum patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
• Educate new mothers on infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the care team.
• Administer medications and perform procedures following hospital protocols.
• Assist with labor, delivery, and postpartum procedures as needed.
• Document patient care accurately and maintain comprehensive records.

• Valid MA Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum of 1 year of inpatient postpartum nursing experience.
• Certification in BLS from American Heart Association.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse electronic health record system preferred.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
