Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse provides comprehensive patient care in a hospital setting, focusing on stabilizing and supporting patients with various medical conditions. They collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, efficient treatment and recovery.
Responsibilities:
- Administer patient care based on established medical protocols and standards.
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to treatment.
- Document and report patient progress, interventions, and changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with patient education and discharge planning to support ongoing recovery.
Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts RN license required.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical Surgical nursing experience.
- Demonstrated proficiency in telemetry and basic dysrhythmia interpretation.
- BLS, NIHSS, and ACLS certifications must be active and uploaded at profile submission.
- Willingness to float to different units as needed.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate caregiving efforts.
