Registered Nurse - Critical Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12-hour night shifts.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Critical Care unit, with the ability to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in critical care nursing and be adaptable to fluctuating patient needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care nursing to patients with various life-threatening conditions.
• Monitor patient vital signs, administer medications, and assist in medical procedures.
• Perform Vent, ICP Monitoring, and Hemodynamic Monitoring as required.
• Document patient care accurately in Meditech Expanse.
• Prepare and participate in patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of current Critical Care experience.
• Massachusetts RN license.
• Active American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certification.
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Willingness to float to PCU as needed is required.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification is preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
• Personal vehicle required for transportation.
