Operating Room First Assist Nurse
Location:
Massachusetts
Assignment Duration:
This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule:
7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday (8-hour shifts)
Job Description:
We are seeking a qualified Operating Room First Assist Nurse to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess the ability to provide critical support in an operating room environment and be adept in various surgical procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in surgical procedures as a first assist in the operating room.
- Maintain sterile techniques and assist in providing a safe environment for patients.
- Participate in pre-operative assessments and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- At least 2 years of current First Assist experience in the Operating Room.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Valid Massachusetts RN license.
- Active BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
- Active Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) certification.
- Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
- Must have a vehicle for commuting and reside more than 50 miles from the facility.
