Cardiovascular Center Supervisor
This position's primary responsibility is to run the day to day operations of the Cardiovascular Center at BMC and North County Campus. The Cardiovascular Supervisor must be able to create staff schedules that meet the need to provide seamless patient care across all campuses. Will coordinate patient check in and flow throughout the department. Has a working knowledge of all cardiology related systems and their basic function as well as Meditech and its functionality related to reports and charges.
Will work closely with other department managers relative to providing comprehensive, coordinated care to the cardiovascular patient across the continuum. Performs supervisory duties including but not limited to: staff hiring, staff evaluations, work schedules, and assignments. Participates in corrective action as needed. Will act as a liaison for the medical community within BMC and external. Ensures the highest level of patient satisfaction.
The Supervisor will also coordinate and facilitate completion of confidential work of the Cardiology Service Line Administrator, as well as coordination with other members of the management team within Cardiology. May assist with coordination of travel for all levels of employees in Cardiology and accurate records for timely reimbursement. This position may also assist with updating and maintaining current documents, and coordinates accurate record keeping for all lab related requirements-including, ICAEL (echo lab accreditation), and ICAVL (vascular lab accreditation).
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years administrative/supervisory experience in a Healthcare oriented environment interacting with physicians and all levels of management required as well as demonstrated leadership in that environment.
Education and Training:
Associates Degree in Business or equivalent work experience required.
License, Certification & Registration:

Ability to function independently utilizing excellent judgment in determining those situations that need to be elevated to a higher level of authority.
Ability to set expectations, provide feedback and hold staff accountable.
Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with all levels of the organization including the physician community.
Knowledge and experience with physician and midlevel provider competency requirements to perform procedures and testing in specific modalities.
Experience with coordinating travel, meetings and reimbursement.
Experience in office coordination/scheduling required.
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as presentation skills required.
Ability to handle confidential information required.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, change direction quickly and be proactive in initiating endeavors to support the overall mission of the cardiology service line.
Ability to develop work systems that allow for efficient completion of practice activities.
Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point skills required including ability to create necessary spreadsheets and statistics.
Experience with Meditech system preferred.
Demonstrated ability to provide highest level of customer service when dealing with all levels of staff, patients and public.
