NICU Travel Nurse Position

NICU is a continuing care nursery that provides the latest technology and care for newborns. The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) categorizes hospitals into four levels of neonatal care based on the service and care they provide. A Level 1B NICU is a specialized department within a hospital that provides extra care for late preterm babies (35 weeks and beyond) and those with health issues.

These nurseries are equipped with the latest technology to meet the needs of these babies, including:

• Cardiopulmonary monitors
• LED phototherapy lights
• Radiant warming units
• Resuscitation and stabilization care centers
• IV infusion pumps
• Isolettes
• Donor milk
• Oxygen therapy

4 bed unit Ratio 3:1

Requested time off during the course of this assignment MUST be noted and verified  REQUESTS AFTER UPLOAD WILL NOT BE APPROVED!! NO MORE THAN 5 DAYS OF RTO WILL BE ACCEPTED (less is better).

Dress Code:
Facility provided scrubs Non-Billable Orientation: 8hrs OT, Holiday Multipliers: 1.25%

Requirements:

• 2 years current NICU experience
  - This is a Level 1B NICU. Travelers MUST have Level 1B or higher NICU experience to be considered for this need
  - Please note experience on profile. [REQUIRED]
• Meditech Expanse experience [highly preferred]
• Must have experience with ESC (Eat, Sleep, Console) babies
  - Infants exposed to opioids in utero [required]
• Must have experience with TTN (Transient Tachypnea) babies
  - Infants with mild breathing problems [required]
• Must have experience with Blood Sugar Stabilization [required]
• Must have experience with babies needed respiratory support [required]
• Must have experience with High Flow NC (Nasal Canula) [required]
• Traveler's perm address must be included in profile
• Traveler must have their own vehicle for this need.
• Any/All RTO must be included in profile. ALL SCHEDULING REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT THE TIME OF SUBMISSION. Facility will NOT approve scheduling requests at/after time of offer/ase obtain this information prior to submittal. Requests after offer may lead to rescinded offer
