Registered Nurse – Psychiatric

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide specialized psychiatric care on a detox unit. The ideal candidate will have a background in substance abuse treatment and be capable of managing complex behavioral health needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' mental health status and substance abuse needs upon admission.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor patient progress, modify treatment approaches, and document clinical interventions accurately.
• Provide therapeutic support and patient education to promote recovery and relapse prevention.
• Ensure adherence to facility policies, safety protocols, and confidentiality standards.
• Participate in shift handovers, team meetings, and ongoing training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Valid Massachusetts RN license with active BLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years current experience in detox or substance abuse settings.
• Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health and substance use disorder best practices.
• Experience with Meditech Expanse is highly preferred.
• Possess own reliable transportation and include perm address in profile.
• Willing to work in a fast-paced detox environment, including holiday shifts.
