American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift assignment at a teaching hospital, requiring telemetry experience and an active MA RN license in hand.
Requirements- Active MA RN license required in hand at time of profile upload (compact license not accepted)
- Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience required
- Telemetry experience required
- Basic Dysrhythmia course completion strongly required
- Meditech Expanse experience highly preferred
- Current certifications required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS
- Skills checklist for Medical Surgical experience, current within 1 year, required for consideration
- One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required for consideration
- Must have own vehicle for transportation to assignment
- Med/Surg unit within a 298-bed teaching hospital
- Unit size ranges from 20 to 34 beds depending on assignment
- Typical patient ratio of 1:6
- Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Every other weekend required, with holiday coverage as needed
- No on-call requirements
- Floating to any Med/Surg unit required; block scheduling not offered
- Deliver direct patient care within a fast-paced Med/Surg environment at a nationally recognized, Joint Commission-accredited teaching hospital
- Personal scrubs of any color permitted per dress code
- 8 hours of non-billable orientation required
- Maximum of 5 days RTO accepted for the entire assignment, and must be submitted at time of profile upload
- Must work two full holiday blocks if scheduled:
Thanksgiving Day through the following weekend, Christmas Eve through the weekend after Christmas, and New Year's Eve through the weekend after New Year's Day - Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered
