Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care on a Medical Surgical / Telemetry unit with a typical patient ratio of 1:6
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond appropriately to cardiac dysrhythmias
- Float to any Medical Surgical unit as needed based on staffing and census demands
- Participate in holiday coverage; expected to work designated holiday blocks including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's periods as scheduled
- Maintain active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications — all must be current and in hand prior to placement
- Active Massachusetts RN License — must be on file prior to placement
- Minimum 2 years of current Medical Surgical experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Completion of a Basic Dysrhythmia course strongly required
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification required
- Active NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required
- Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit required
- Personal vehicle required for this assignment
- Must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
- Experience with Meditech Expanse EMR system highly preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience in a Medical Surgical or Telemetry setting
