Position: Line Mechanic - Fully Qualified (Pittsfield, MA)

** _POSITION REQUIREMENTS:_*
* ** _The successful candidate must meet the following qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent, pass_*
* ** _the CAST test, possess a valid driver's license, and obtain/maintain a Commercial Driver's License_*
* ** _ CDL   Individuals must be able to perform work assignments at the Line Mechanic level including_*
* ** _transmission work, work emergency, and planned overtime when the need exists; acquire a basic_*
* ** _knowledge of the Company Safety Manual; have the mechanical ability to use hand/power tools, and_*
* ** _equipment pertinent to line construction and maintenance; and have the ability to climb and work on_*
* ** _poles, ladders, and other elevated structures _*
* ** _POSITION

DESCRIPTION:

* ** _Position will require working both indoors and outdoors, and at times under adverse weather conditions _*
* ** _Selected candidate must meet the physical requirements as required by medical placement_*
* ** _examination s ; may be required to work a four, ten hour day work schedule; will be designated a shift_*
* ** _worker with Saturday as a work day; and must live within 30 minutes of the reporting location _*
* ** _This is a Union position and qualified Local 455 WMECO employees will be given first consideration _*
* ** _Individuals must be able to perform work assignments at the Line Mechanic level including transmission_*
