LAUREYNS UNITED INC - Pittsfield, MA 01201## Overview Salary Range $20.00 - $30.00 Hourly## Description The HVAC Service Technician at Laureyns United will perform basic maintenance on HVAC equipment, trouble shoot equipment and start up newly installed equipment. Laureyns United services and maintains all types of HVAC equipment including but not limited to steam boilers, geothermal units, hydronics heating systems, and hot water heaters for both residential and commercial.

This position will have a focus on residential equipment.  Duties/Responsibilities:
• Diagnose and repair heating, air conditioning and ventilation systems in residential settings.
• Complete start-up procedures for newly installed equipment.
• Install thermostats to control HVAC system.## Qualifications
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Fundamental knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment.
• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Good mechanical skill
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must have valid driver’s license and pass insurability requirements.

Education and Experience:

• HVAC

Certifications:

OSHA-10, EPA, Hot Work.
• Vocational/technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.
• Two years of related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to work on HVAC units.
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time ofyear.
• Ability to work in tight spaces and at tall heights.
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, or climbing ladders.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time.
