Berkshire Precision Tool, LLC, a leading supplier of American-made, industrial cutting tools, is seeking a qualified Maintenance Mechanic for our production facility located in Pittsfield, MA. This person will be responsible primarily performing preventative maintenance and repairs on production machinery, building mechanical systems, building exterior and grounds as required.
The hours for this position are 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Salary Range for this position starts at $25 - $35 per hour based on level of qualifications and experience.

- Technical Knowledge: A thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems is critical.
- Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving:

Skills:
Basic computer literacy is necessary for operating equipment and using maintenance management systems. - Communication and Teamwork:

- A valid Massachusetts driver’s license and safe driving record are required.
- Must be required to take and pass the requirements for an MA Class 1-D hoist license (Forklift).
- Must have good mechanical ability and willingness to learn to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair problems as they arise.
- Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
- Repair machinery and components using technical manuals and diagnostic equipment.
- Adhere to all relevant safety protocols and regulations.
- Keep machinery and equipment in efficient and safe working condition.
Other duties would include filter changes, trash and recycling, and planned projects.
