Job Title: HVAC Service Technician
Location: Pittsfield, MA (Servicing Berkshire County and surrounding 1-hour radius)
Schedule: Full-time, 8-hour daily shifts with flexible start times (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM). Average 8-10 hours/day.
On-Call Expectation: Rotating 24/7 on-call shift every 5th weekend (stretching to every 6th-7th weekend as team size expands).
Pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour depending on experience level.

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of HVAC service experience (5-10 years preferred). Must be proficient at troubleshooting gas and oil furnaces on day one.
Certifications & Checks: Active EPA certification (or willingness to complete the exam upon hire) and a clean criminal background check required for client site clearances.
Tech Proficiency: Comfortable utilizing mobile FSM software (Service Titan) on an iPad in a paperless workflow.
Technical Versatility: Familiarity or willingness to learn complex regional systems, including mini-splits, heat pumps, steam/hot water boilers, radiant flooring, and geothermal units.
Requirements: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and personal hand tools.
Field Service & Maintenance: Perform diagnostic calls, repairs, and scheduled preventive maintenance across a 50/50 mix of residential and commercial customer sites.
System Diagnostics: Service residential systems (forced hot air, gas/oil/propane, boilers, heat pumps) and commercial infrastructure (boilers, large chillers up to 250 tons, and building control systems).
Customer Interaction: Communicate directly with residential homeowners, facility managers, and industrial site coordinators to explain completed services clearly.
Continuous Improvement: Participate in weekly paid training sessions to broaden technical knowledge on advanced hydronics, steam systems, and specialized equipment controls.
