PAT Parent Educator ​/ Peer Recovery Specialist

18 Degrees seeks a PAT Parent Educator / Peer Recovery Specialist to support families navigating parenting and substance use recovery. In this client-facing role, you'll provide evidence-informed parent education, peer-based recovery support, and resource navigation through home visits and virtual sessions. You'll conduct intakes, document progress, and collaborate with supervisors and community partners. Ideal candidates bring lived experience or related human services work, strong communication skills, cultural humility, and a commitment to trauma-informed, strengths-based care.

Responsibilities

• Deliver evidence-informed parent education and peer recovery support services to clients and families.
• Conduct intakes, assess needs, and create basic support or education plans.
• Facilitate one-on-one and small group sessions, in person and virtually.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and case notes in agency systems.
• Coordinate referrals and connect clients with community and recovery resources.
• Collaborate with supervisors, clinicians, and community partners to support client goals.
• Promote a trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based approach.
• Participate in regular supervision, training, and case review meetings.
• Support data collection and simple reporting for grants and program evaluation.
• Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and agency policies at all times.
