Corporate Controller

Soni’s client, a well-established, multi-location organization in the transportation industry, is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to join their leadership team. This opportunity offers the ability to step into a high-impact role within a collaborative, fast-paced environment where strategic thinking and operational partnership are highly valued.

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Corporate Controller will lead the accounting function for a multi-entity organization. This individual will manage a small team while remaining hands‑on, ensuring financial accuracy, strengthening internal controls, improving processes, and delivering actionable insights that support business performance and growth.

• Oversee the general ledger and ensure an accurate and timely month‑end close
• Manage account reconciliations, cash management, and forecasting activities
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting processes
• Oversee payroll, retirement plans, accounts payable, and accounts receivable/billing
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for financial statement reviews and tax filings
• Identify cost‑savings opportunities and drive operational efficiencies
• Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations
• Partner cross‑functionally and act as a trusted business advisor to leadership

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibility
• Experience with in a $50M+ revenue organization
• Background in multi-entity and/or multi-location environments
• Experience with Tier 2 ERP systems preferred
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence across an organization
• Hands‑on, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast‑paced setting

Compensation: $130,000 – $140,000

Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other job‑related qualifications.
