Ship Monk | Pittston, Pennsylvania | Full-time | On-site

Turn what you've learned into real leadership experience.

Maybe you studied supply chain, logistics, operations, business, or engineering. Maybe you got your first exposure to the field through an internship, co-op, part-time job, or project and realized you want to build a career in operations.

Now you're ready to do more than observe the operation. You're ready to lead one
.

Ship Monk is looking for early-career talent to join our Pittston fulfillment operations as an Operations Supervisor
.

This isn't a program where you spend your first year watching from the sidelines. You'll learn our business while taking on real frontline leadership responsibility — leading approximately 25–30 associates, managing performance, working with operational data, solving problems, and helping your department improve.

Why start your operations career at Ship Monk?

You can learn the fundamentals of supply chain in a classroom or internship. Leading an operation teaches you what happens when the forecast changes, volume spikes, labor doesn't match the plan, a process breaks, or your team needs you to make a decision.

At Ship Monk, you'll build hands-on experience in:

  • Frontline people leadership
  • Fulfillment and distribution operations
  • Labor planning and allocation
  • Productivity and throughput management
  • Inventory and quality
  • Safety and compliance
  • Operational KPIs and data analysis
  • Root-cause problem solving
  • Cross-functional leadership

And you'll do it in an environment where we believe in developing our people and promoting from within whenever we can
. Strong performers have opportunities to take on more responsibility and continue building their careers as Ship Monk grows.

What you'll do
  • Lead, coach, and develop approximately 25–30 warehouse associates
  • Run shift huddles and set clear daily priorities for your team
  • Monitor productivity, throughput, quality, accuracy, attendance, and safety
  • Learn how to allocate labor based on volume and operational priorities
  • Use data to understand performance and identify root causes
  • Coach associates and provide clear, timely feedback
  • Partner with Operations leaders and teams across HR, Safety, Quality, and Engineering
  • Help onboard and train new associates
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate waste and improve processes
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant work area
  • Learn the operation from the floor up while progressively taking greater ownership
What we're looking for

We're especially interested in early-career candidates who have:

  • An interest in building a career in operations, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, or people leadership
  • Exposure to a professional or operational environment through an internship, co-op, part-time job, project, or other relevant experience
  • Demonstrated leadership potential through work experience, campus organizations, athletics, volunteer leadership, military experience, or other team environments
  • Comfort working with data and metrics to understand performance and solve problems

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to spend the majority of the shift on the fulfillment floor working directly with your team
  • Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime based on business needs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.

Nice to have

  • A degree, current enrollment, or coursework in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Industrial…
