Job SummaryThe Batching Operator is responsible for accurately measuring, mixing, and preparing raw materials to produce beverage batches in accordance with company recipes, production schedules, and quality standards. This position plays a critical role in ensuring consistent product quality and maintaining compliance with food safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, good math skills, and experience in food or beverage manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities Batch Preparation & Mixing- Read and interpret batch sheets to measure and mix ingredients precisely.
- Operate batching equipment, mixers, and pumps in accordance with SOPs.
- Record batch data including ingredient usage, lot numbers, and batch times.
- Verify and stage raw materials for daily batching operations.
- Follow GMP, HACCP, and company safety guidelines at all times.
- Ensure all ingredients are stored, handled, and used safely.
- Report any non-conformities, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Work with Quality Assurance to ensure batch accuracy and traceability.
- Sanitize and clean tanks, lines, and batching equipment before and after each batch.
- Perform pre-operational checks and routine maintenance as needed.
- Assist maintenance team in diagnosing equipment issues.
- Ensure proper calibration of scales, meters, and temperature controls.
- Coordinate closely with Production, Quality, and Inventory teams to ensure efficient flow.
- Communicate batch status, delays, or adjustments to supervisors.
- Support new recipe trials and product changes as required.

- High school diploma or GED required.
- 1–3 years experience in a food or beverage production environment preferred.
- Experience operating batching systems or process equipment is a plus.
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions and batch sheets
- Familiarity with food safety and sanitation standards
- Strong attention to detail and sense of accountability
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
