DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Exemplifies the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times. Leads by example and exhibits professionalism in all areas when representing Amcor inside and outside of the plant.
  • Work in a professional manner with other associates to ensure only quality product being released to the customer.
  • Ensure product is running in accordance with the production schedule, walk the floor to become familiar with the products that are running.
  • Collect samples from each injection molding machine, secondary process, and print line for the required attribute / dimensional / functional testing per the specified frequency. Record the results on the appropriate forms.
  • Notify the Shift Supervisor of any non‑conformances that are found. Monitor active concerns for prompt resolution and elevate issue up the Management chain if the non‑conformance is not being addressed.
  • Notify Quality Assurance Manager of any quality defects which are not corrected promptly.
  • Identify non‑conforming product with "Hold" labels and update the hold log.
  • Perform in‑process attribute verifications and document checks. Record the results on the Quality Monitor.
  • Perform first shot verifications and document the results using the appropriate forms.
  • Assist as necessary with LDR verifications.
  • Notify the Quality Assurance Manager immediately of any Quality Department equipment deficiencies.
  • Maintain a safe working environment.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality and housekeeping standards are maintained.
  • Ensure a smooth transition between shifts by communicating any ongoing concerns / lingering issues to incoming technician.
  • Various other duties as assigned.
EDUCATIONAL, SKILL, &

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in fast‑paced manufacturing environment; plastic manufacturing highly preferred.
  • Technical background and/or experience in Quality Assurance highly preferred.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Good computer skills required.
  • Skilled in the use of measuring devices, such as height gages and calipers.
  • Good mathematics skills required.
  • Frequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including but not limited to:
    Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hair/beard nets, Hearing Protection and Disposable Mask.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently exposed to fumes, or airborne particles.
  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Good communication skills--verbal and written; must effectively communicate with employees, vendors, and customers.
  • Independent in working effectively with little supervision; self‑starter, displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast‑paced, performance‑driven environment.
  • Good attention to detail, time management skills, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work as a cross‑functional team member.
