Role

Team Leader – Print Department

Responsibilities
  • Exemplify the Amcor Behaviors and Values at all times; lead by example and exhibit professionalism when representing Amcor inside and outside the plant.
  • Work in a professional manner with other associates.
  • Set up presses for quality print jobs to match customer order specifications and ensure production schedules are met timely.
  • Promptly correct machinery malfunctions and notify the Print Supervisor or Production Manager.
  • Oversee the starting and stopping of presses, housekeeping, catching, stacking the floor, cleaning, and quality control.
  • Utilize customer color standard charts and sample containers for color and print comparison.
  • Lubricate and replace any missing parts; clean dryer parts, presses, and fountains.
  • Notify the Print Supervisor or Production Manager of production, scrap, and fill out any documentation and production reports.
  • Work effectively as a team member and communicate any immediate concerns to the Print Supervisor.
  • Ensure all reports or documentation are completed timely and properly.
  • Ensure proper packaging, labeling, stacking, and wrapping for shipment.
  • Communicate with Feeder/Packers regarding production goals expected of machines to ensure shipments are met on time.
  • Supply raw materials to the Feeder/Packers as needed.
  • Possess technical understanding of process and raw materials used; have all materials required at each workstation when needed.
  • Exhibit leadership and management skills, and assist in training of associates.
  • Conduct quality inspection on each machine and follow proper packaging procedures to prevent damage during shipping.
  • Ensure proper labeling of product being packaged for shipment.
  • Stay informed on production expectations for print department machines to meet goals.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills &

Physical Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous print department experience.
  • Regularly required to stand, sit, or walk for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequent exposure to production floor; required use of PPE including: bump cap, safety eyewear (or prescription safety eyewear), safety shoes, hair/beard nets, hearing protection, and disposable mask.
  • Good hand‑eye coordination.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently.
  • Capability to lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions.
  • Ability to keep up with fast‑paced production cycles.
  • Position requires agility and consistent attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify alpha and numeric product codes.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
  • Frequently works near moving mechanical parts.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment, delivering results in a performance‑driven environment.
