Sheet Metal Painter

Summary/Objective

Keeping high quality in mind at all times, applies paint to various metal components in a safe and efficient manner.

• Apply paint to various vent products
• Prepare surface with cleaning solution to remove oil, dust, dirt, etc.
• Use paint guns to paint product. Adjust nozzles to obtain proper dispersion of spray
• Check flow of paint
• Bake product to cure coating
• Inspect product for flaws and bubbles
• Performs inspection prior to and after cure process
• Follows required cure procedures
• Clean all equipment at the end of shift
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures
• Assist packing area as needed
• Other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. Temperature is varied to the temperature outside due to open doors and garages. This position exposes employee to extreme heat.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items up to, or sometimes over, 50 pounds. Certain tasks require standing for entire shift.

This is a full-time position, Monday – Friday. Shift is:

• First shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

No travel is expected for this position.

• Minimum of a high school education
• Prior painting experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, but not required
