, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour
- Vaccination Requirements:
- All prospective employees must provide proof of vaccination as per the hospital's policy (C143).
- Vaccines will be provided free of charge to all new hires.
3.2 Computer and Tablet Proficiency (B204)
- Candidates must demonstrate comfort and proficiency in using computers and tablets. This includes:
- Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, etc.)
- Familiarity with common software applications (Microsoft Office Suite, email platforms, etc.)
- Ability to navigate the internet and utilize online resources effectively.

How This Role Works:
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare setting.
- Respond to incidents, medical-related emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
