BASIC PURPOSETo provide a safe and reliable fleet by performing preventative maintenance and proper repairs on all fleet equipment. Currently offering a $5,000 retention bonus! Tool allowance included to support your trade. Our Diesel Mechanics start at $ $26.00 to $28.00 hour depending on experience! 401K with 2% automatic company contribution plus company match up to an additional 6%. Medical Benefits Start Day One!

Schedule:
Sunday
- Thursday 11pm-7:30am
- Perform preventative maintenance within DOT standards.
- Complete all required repairs on diesel equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, bobtails, lift gates, etc.).
- Take directions from and assist senior technicians with repairs.
- Utilize fleet maintenance system tablet to fully document equipment repair and parts used.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with workplace safety rules/regulations and government guidelines.
- Willingness and capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.

All Fleet Technicians, Drivers, Coordinators and Manager External: N/A
Onsite:
The associate in this role is expected to perform assigned responsibilities inside a US Foods maintenance facility. Ability to work flexible schedule. Must be willing to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions.
- Must have 1 year of verifiable hands‑on experience as a heavy‑duty commercial diesel mechanic.
- Must furnish own personal hand tools.
- Able to read and write legibly (e.g., to attend trainings, hold conversations, receive safety and job‑related coaching, and enter information on reports if needed); basic mathematical skills (add, subtract, divide).
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification
- Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system
- Previous mechanical and PM program experience
- Experience using fleet maintenance software
- Welding ability

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $26.00 -$28.00 This role may also receive overtime compensation & retention bonus.
