What You’ll Be Doing

Serve as a branch specialist in the areas of real estate, consumer loans, insurance, and retirement/investments, maintaining comprehensive knowledge of credit union departments, products, services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information and negotiate resolution of complex inquiries. Conduct meetings with Members to assist with their financial needs, serving as the highest-level specialist and subject matter expert. Independently handle routine and complex Member inquiries aiming for first-point-of-contact resolution with limited escalation.

  • Real Estate:
    Thorough knowledge to assist Members with real estate products and services, assess financial situation, recommend loans, complete applications, and refer applicants as needed.
  • Consumer Loans:
    Analyze financial and credit data to recommend products, and have authority to approve or deny loans within assigned authority level.
  • Retirement & Investments:
    Hold required licenses and serve as primary resource for 403, 457, and other retirement and investment products, interview Members to determine financial objectives and develop plans.
  • Personal Lines/Automobile Insurance:
    Provide coverage recommendations, complete applications, and bind coverage authorized by the carrier.
Job Functions
  • Process moderately difficult financial transactions and resolve Member issues.
  • Identify Member financial needs and recommend appropriate products to deepen relationships.
  • Provide consultative services and streamline department and credit union operations.
  • Assist in training new and existing team members.
  • Maintain an updated FINRA Form U4, completing required continuing education and recertification.
  • Ensure compliance with Credit Union policy, state and federal regulations, and BSA regulations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1‑3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Required certifications or licenses (as applicable): CSS Certification, Consumer Lending Authority, Art of Underwriting, Intermediate Real Estate training, Real Estate Certification Program, Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System registration, FINRA Series 6 or 7, and 63, Personal Lines Broker License.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability to make loan decisions in a high-volume environment as required.
