Director, FP&A

Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Our client, a high-growth technology infrastructure company, is seeking a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to establish and lead its internal FP&A function.

This role is hybrid, with in-office attendance expected approximately 2 to 3 days per week in the San Francisco Peninsula area.

This highly visible role will partner with executive leadership and commercial teams to support pricing, deal analysis, strategic planning, forecasting, and financial decision-making. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on finance leader who can build models, processes, and reporting capabilities from the ground up while providing immediate support on complex business decisions.

• Build and lead the company’s FP&A function, including scalable planning, forecasting, reporting, and decision-support processes
• Own annual budgeting, periodic forecasting, and long‑range financial planning
• Partner with executive leadership on growth initiatives, investment decisions, resource allocation, and business performance
• Support commercial teams with pricing strategy, deal structuring, customer proposals, contract evaluations, and negotiations
• Develop financial models to evaluate customer agreements, pricing scenarios, margins, contract economics, and expected returns
• Build operating models and scenario analyses incorporating revenue, bookings, expenses, headcount, cash requirements, and other key business drivers
• Develop executive reporting packages, dashboards, performance metrics, and actionable financial insights
• Support corporate development, transaction analysis, and other strategic cross‑functional initiatives
• Manage multiple priorities and respond quickly to high‑impact requests from leadership and business stakeholders
• Help define the future structure of the FP&A organization and build a team as the company grows

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 10+ years of progressive experience in FP&A, strategic finance, corporate finance, or a related discipline
• Significant finance experience within technology, software, infrastructure, or another complex and rapidly scaling business
• Strong experience supporting commercial teams through pricing strategy, deal analysis, contract evaluation, and financial modeling
• Advanced forecasting, scenario modeling, long‑range planning, executive communication, and business‑partnering skills
