Expert staffing west is seeking CNC Machinist in Placentia CA!

The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machine tools to produce precision components in accordance with engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, work orders, and established manufacturing procedures. The Machinist will work with various CNC equipment and machining processes to produce quality parts that support the manufacturing and assembly of aerospace components.

• Set up and operate 3-, 4-, and 5-axis CNC mills, lathes, and turning centers
• Read blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions
• Load tooling, fixtures, programs, and materials
• Make tool offsets, wear adjustments, and basic program edits
• Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, height gauges, and other precision tools
• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections
• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues
• Monitor tool wear and maintain machine performance
• Complete production and quality documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Work with Engineering, Quality, and Production to resolve issues
• Meet production schedules while maintaining high-quality standards

• 3–6 years of CNC machining/machine shop experience preferred
• Strong CNC setup and operation experience
• Experience with mills and/or lathes/turning centers
• Ability to read blueprints and GD&T
• Skilled with precision measuring equipment
• Basic CNC programming and editing experience
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a production environment and significant overtime
• High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience preferred
• NTMA or technical certification is a plus

Manufacturing environment with standing, walking, bending, reaching, repetitive hand use, and occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. Must be able to wear required PPE.
