The El Dorado County Office of Education fulfills the substitute needs of 15 School Districts and 4 County Programs in Western El Dorado County. Qualified individuals are needed to serve as substitute teachers when regular certificated staff are absent. The Substitute Teacher – Full Credential – Certificated posting is for individuals who hold a valid Full California Credential (Preliminary or Clear) or a valid Emergency 30-Day Substitute Permit.

Essential Job Functions:
• Provides learning experiences and teaches the lessons of study prescribed by the classroom teacher or administrator.
• Develops and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/or visual instruction of students with wide range of mental, physical, and emotional maturity.
• Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and motivate students.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student control required to achieve effective participation in all activities.
• Provides appropriate instruction and activities for students to meet school/ District policies goals and objectives.
• Follows school protocols and procedures. Special Additional
Skills:
Individuals working in programs for students with severe handicaps must have the ability to lift students ranging in weight from infants to young adults and demonstrate a willingness to assist with self-help skills as necessary. The following items are required to submit your application:
