Child Development Classroom Assistant II – Western Slope

Salary per Hour: $17.97 – $23.39 (initial placement on first step of range)
Job SummaryUnder the direction of the Head Start teacher, the Classroom Assistant II demonstrates and applies fundamental knowledge of child development to facilitate daily activities and experiences for children that support school readiness following federal, state, and COE guidelines. Bilingual/Spanish-English speaking candidates are encouraged to apply. A bilingual stipend is available upon completion/passing of the proficiency exam.
Qualifications- High School Diploma and Associate Teacher Permit or Associate of Arts degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, or related field. Must meet Title 22 licensing standards.
- Previous successful experience in Early Care and Education Programs within the past three years preferred.
- Bilingual/Spanish-English speaking candidates encouraged to apply. Bilingual stipend available.
