EDCOE Special Services is seeking a collaborative Teacher for Students with Vision Impairments (TVI) to join our low incidence itinerant teaching team. This position provides direct and indirect services to children and students ages 0-22 with specialized vision services. This teacher works with school-based teams, as well as county regional programs to address the educational, communication, functional, and social/emotional needs of students with visual impairments.
Requirements/ Qualifications
Experience
Required:
- One year experience in related teaching assignment; work with students with visual impairments preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree and valid teaching credential for appropriate level of instruction and specialty area of special education (Specialist:
Vision Impairments and Clinical Rehabilitative Services in Orientation and Mobility, or eligibility for appropriate credentials/permits.)

Student Transportation Requirement:
Depending on the assignment, this position may involve transporting students. Employees assigned to provide student transportation must comply with all applicable California requirements for student transportation, including those established under California Senate Bill 88 (SB 88).
