The County of El Dorado recognizes that our employees are our greatest asset. We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans. We also offer a number of other voluntary benefit plans. All benefits are subject to plan eligibility requirements (extra help/temporary positions are not eligible for benefits). The County offers five health plan options:
Blue Shield PPO 200, Blue Shield PPO 1300, Blue Shield PPO 2000, Kaiser HMO and Kaiser HMO 1300. Extra help employees are not considered regular employees, therefore do not attain civil service status, and do not receive benefits or paid leaves; however, they do accrue sick leave consistent with the law.
